  The Ishmael Community: Daniel Quinn Events Calendar

Daniel Quinn is Taping a PBS TV Show In Norman, Oklahoma and You’re Invited!

Daniel Quinn, internationally acclaimed author of Ishmael, The Story of B, and My Ishmael will be making history in Norman, Oklahoma on a special taping of "The Power of Ideas." This will be the first time this award-winning PBS interview show will include a live audience to the show's format. Don’t miss this opportunity to see, hear, and address your questions to one of the most controversial and thought-provoking writers to emerge in the last decade.

The show taping will be on Friday, May 19th (7:00 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.)
at the University of Oklahoma’s Meacham Auditorium.

Thanks to the financial generosity of our sponsors (see below), the tickets are free and the parking is free. To receive your complimentary tickets, print and fill out the ticket request form (follow this link) and return it to Borders Norman (300 Norman Center Court - phone: 405-573-4907) or Borders Oklahoma City (3209 Northwest Expressway - phone: 405-848-2667). Hurry, these tickets will go fast.

Important information about the tickets and the taping: 1) Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis; 2) You will not be admitted without a ticket; 3) Tickets will be mailed if you include a self-addressed stamped envelope; 4) There is a two ticket per request limit; 5) No one under the age of ten will be admitted to the taping; 6) No one will be admitted after the taping begins; 7) No flash cameras, video cameras, or other recording devices allowed during the taping; 8) Pagers and phones must be on "silent mode" during the taping; 9) For accommodations on the basis of disability, please call 405-325-3707; 10) Meacham Auditorium is located on the first floor, south side of the Oklahoma Memorial Union.
