Earthday.fm–web radio for the web of life–now playing...
Musicians United to Sustain the Environment (MUSE) has launched Earthday.fm, an internet radio station that draws from a playlist of more than 5,000 songs spanning six decades and many genres. The station, now on the air (for free), features music from around the world with environmental, empowerment, and indigenous lyrics–by some of the greatest storytellers of our time.
Traci Hickson, one of Earthday.fm's founders, writes: "As a young person growing up in rural West Virginia, a song by Walkin' Jim Stoltz, "Forever Wild," moved me to tears--I was not alone my respect for all of life. My friends and I began a journey to find more of this music and share it. We spent hours combing through old vinyl record warehouses and the libraries of community radio stations around the world. Along the way, we found hundreds of musicians from all walks of life, who share a message--we are a part of the web of life. We are happy to share these songs in their full diversity." Tune in at Earthday.fm.
